Sometimes I wonder....

About many things. But there's really no relevance to my post to that title, so...

I know I said I wasn't gonna complain anymore, so I'll put this as delicately as possible: If it weren't for physics, I would sleep better at night. And I'm being serious; I had a god damn dream about Mr. Zovich and his god foresaken car that's a Diablo but he calls a Ferrari. I got home, and fell asleep watching MASH, and lo and behold, he even invades my sleep. It's bad enough I constantly bash my brains when I'm awake, but now.... aaagh.

So, besides physics, life is good. I got meat in the freezer, a nice bed, XBOX, and in all my other classes I am doing well.

Anyways... me and Russ got into a little discussion on the bus about global warming, which pretty much ended in me giving a little speech about differing opinions and whom you can and can't trust, information-wise. I think I did a fairly good job explaining my viewpoint, but you'd really have to ask Russ. The conversation pretty much entailed that you really can't trust anyone except those you trust (kind of contradictory, but if you think about it, it makes sense) and 1st hand accounts. Now, concerning global warming, or the war, or police cases, whatever, 1st hand accounts are usually out of the picture, unless you're good friends with a high-ranking official, which is also who you would trust. (Hopefully.) So you have to get it by word of mouth from your peers, or the dreaded and hateful media. Augh, the media. Nothing gets through the media completely whole and truthful, and that's when information gathering gets tough. My strategy, and the strategy that most other people who work hard at gathering unbiased and accurate info: read aaall sorts of news, not just from one site or paper, but from many. Also get different political magazines and gazettes and so on. Now, the best way to go about that is to not only get Republican or Democratic news, but both, and also other sides. Every side has a different tale to tell about the same event, and if you're smart and think hard enough and use common sense and make your best interpretations, then you will be highly informed and a political and social menace. Figuratively speaking, of course. Not only will you be well informed, but also highly intelligent, because reading increases your vocabulary, and gives you new phrases. You will also learn all KINDS of little tidbits of information.

But everyone knows that this takes too much effort. That's where message boards come in. Many people have more free time, and enjoy politics and news more than the average person. I hold these people in high regard, because they spent hours searching the internet for interesting news and posting it so that the average joe does not have to. And they even put their own opinions there, so others can comment.

Personally, I think arguments and debates are great fun. Most other people do not. Too bad. Since I don't feel like writing anymore:

To be continued....
